Beth Hemminger's goal in the second half combined with Nicole Roman and the rest of the College of Wooster's defense's fourth shutout resulted in a 1-0 win for the women's soccer team at Muskingum College on Wednesday (Sept. 11).

Wooster, which remains unbeaten at 4-0-2, controlled most of the non-conference match's action, outshooting Muskingum 21-7, but did not get on the scoreboard until the 69th minute. At that point, Hemminger collected a loose ball in front of the net after a Scot corner kick and booted it in from about six yards out for her team-leading third goal this season.

On the other end of the field, Roman and company were solid once again, as they limited the Lady Muskies to very few scoring opportunities. Roman made three saves in the victory.

Wooster continues it long season-opening road trip this Saturday (Sept. 14) at Wilmington College (3-1-0). It will be a match under the lights with opening kickoff slated for 7 p.m.
