Women's Soccer Team Drops First NCAC Contest

The College of Wooster women's soccer team saw its nine-game unbeaten streak snapped and suffered its first North Coast Athletic Conference loss of the season when it fell to Allegheny 1-0 in Meadville, Pa.

The Scots outplayed the Gators, outshooting them 13-6, but were unable to get the ball past Allegheny goaltender Chris TerraFerma, who recorded eight saves in the shutout.

The only goal of the game came early in the first half, when Carolyn Sikora scored with an assist from Katie Paulsen at the 42:28 mark.

Freshman goalkeeper Nicole Roman stopped three shots for the Scots, who dropped to 8-2-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the NCAC.

Wooster returns to action on Thursday (Oct. 7), when it hosts Hiram at 4:30 p.m.
