The National Soccer Coaches Association of America recently announced its all-region teams, and The College of Wooster had two All-Great Lakes selections - Erin Lustic (Cleveland Hts., Ohio / Cleveland Heights) earned second-team recognition and Lisa Henderson (Arlington, Va. / Washington-Lee) was selected to the third team. Lustic and Henderson, both sophomores, earn their first all-region distinctions after picking up first team All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors earlier this fall.

Lustic, who transferred from Wright State University after her freshman year, started slow in her first year with the Scots, posting just one assist in her first 10 matches. Over her last eight contests, however, she sparked the offense with 15 points on three goals and nine assists. Two of her three scores resulted in match-winners, including her first collegiate goal in a 2-1 victory over Mt. Union College. In a 4-1 win over Westminster College (Pa.), Lustic was part of a hat trick by assisting on three goals and she closed her season by scoring twice in a 4-0 victory over Kenyon College.

Henderson anchored the Scot defense this fall as the middle defender, and helped limit opponents to just 7.94 shots and 0.72 goals per game. Opponents only managed to score more than one goal twice on the season, and never more than two with her on the field. Wooster has recorded 18 shutouts in Henderson's two years on the team, including seven this past fall. Her ability to clear the ball from the backfield has also helped her on the offensive end as she has picked up two assists in her career.

The Scot women's soccer team went 13-4-1 this fall under head coach David Brown, including an unbeaten mark in non-conference play (9-0-1). Three of Wooster's four setbacks were by one goal, with the other loss being a 2-0 defeat at the hands of nationally-ranked Denison University. The Scots finished tied for fourth (4-4-0) in the NCAC with Allegheny College and Kenyon, but lost the bid to the conference tournament via a tie-breaker.
