The College of Wooster women's lacrosse team posted its third shutout in the program's 29-year history, and second in as many years, on Sunday (April 15) during a non-conference tilt at St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa.

Wooster handed the hosts a 12-0 goose egg, limiting St. Vincent to 13 shots on the afternoon, as senior goalie Kim Christensen made seven saves to record the second shutout of her career.

The Scots, who shutdown Earlham College 17-0 last season and the State University of New York at Buffalo 13-0 in 1994, received strong efforts from their entire defensive unit, highlighted by starters Courtney Anson, Jessica Bacon, Krista Klocke, Courtney Peter, and Nicole Pritchard.

Offensively, Wooster scored four goals in the first half, all of which were assisted by Beth Hemminger, and exploded for eight more in the second half. Hemminger finished with a game-high seven points on a pair of goals and five assists, while Megan Kennedy registered four goals and Molly Spirer had two tallies and an assist to round out the Scots' multiple-point scorers.

Wooster returns to North Coast Athletic Conference action next, as it travels to Gambier, Ohio, for a match-up with Kenyon College (5-3, 1-2 NCAC) on Wednesday, April 17, at 4:30 p.m.
