Beth Hemminger scored three goals and passed out five assists to lead The College of Wooster past Oberlin College 16-3 in North Coast Athletic Conference women's lacrosse action on Thursday afternoon (April 11).

In doing so, Hemminger became Wooster's career leader in assists. Despite being just a junior, the two-time All-American has now totaled 79 helpers, surpassing Kate Messer who had 76 from 1996-99.

Hemminger was not alone against Oberlin, as fellow midfielder Megan Kennedy scored three times and assisted on four others during the rout, and Miriam Esber also recorded a hat trick.

The Scots (4-4, 2-0 NCAC) were in command throughout, tallying the game's first two goals and leading 11-2 at halftime en route to cruising to the final 13-goal margin.

Joining the aforementioned trio as multiple scorers on Thursday were Wooster's Erica Frazier-Young, Mary Risley, and Emily White with two goals apiece, while Anna Ialeggio paced the Yeowomen with a goal and an assist.

In goal, Kim Christensen and Becky McAtee each played a half, combining for five saves in the winning effort. On the other end of the field, Sarah Pilzer had 16 saves.

Next, the Scots will hit the road and return to non-league action on Saturday (April 11), traveling to western Pa. for a meeting with St. Vincent College (4-2) at 1 p.m.÷
