Scot Women's Lacrosse Romps Earlham 23-1

The College of Wooster scored eight goals over a four-minute period
en route to a 23-1 victory over Earlham College in North Coast Athletic
Conference women's lacrosse action this afternoon (April 15) at Cindy Barr
Memorial Field in Wooster.
The Scots, who went above the .500 mark to 5-4 with the win,
including a 3-2 conference mark, held a 1-0 advantage with 21 minutes to
play in the first half before going on an 8-1 run over the next 4:03.
Wooster went on to tack on seven more goals before the halftime break and
seven more in the second half.
Leading the Scot offensive explosion was senior Maggie Buckingham,
who registered six points on two goals and four assists in just 21 minutes
of playing time. Juniors Jessica Critchlow and Katelyn Connolly each scored
a game-high three goals, while Critchlow added two assists and Connolly
one.
Also recording multi-goal games were sophomore Miriam Esber,
freshman Beth Hemminger, sophomore Courtney Peter, and sophomore Emily
White, who had two scores apiece. In addition, freshman Megan Kennedy had
one goal and two assists, senior Elizabeth Somrack had one goal and one
assist, and six other Wooster players recorded at least one point on the
afternoon.
Sophomore goalie Kim Christensen only needed to make one save, as
she earned the victory in net, and scored her first career goal after being
pulled late in the contest.
Next, Wooster will play its final regular-season home game against
Wittenberg in another NCAC tilt on Wednesday, April 19, at 4:30 p.m.
