Scot Women's Potent Offense Returns in 94-72 Win
Box Score
The College of Wooster women's basketball team was able to earn a split on its Washington, D.C. trip, as it easily defeated Trinity (D.C.) College 94-72 Thursday night.
Wooster's high-powered offense, which leads the North Coast Athletic Conference (74.6 ppg), returned to form against Trinity after only scoring 54 points in a loss to St. Mary's (Md.) College on Tuesday.
The Scots (5-2) opened up a 44-36 advantage at the break over Trinity (2-4) and then an early second-half run, started by a pair of field goals via sophomore Alexis Louttit (Lodi, Ohio / West Holmes), pulled them out to a comfortable edge for the rest of the way.
Louttit shared game-high scoring honors with the Eagles' Becky Worsham. They each had 14 points, while two other Wooster players - freshman Mary Bell (Wyoming, Ohio / Wyoming) and senior Kristen Rice (Wooster, Ohio / Northwestern) - contributed 10 apiece.
After a holiday break, the Scots will return to the road and face Grove City College (1-6) on Dec. 30.
