  • Basketball was the first women's varsity sport at Wooster, starting play in 1965. In that time, the Scots have reached the NCAC Tournament twice and won the NCAC title twice.
  • Wooster posted an above .500 record (14-12) in 2006-07, the first time since the 1992-93 season.
  • Wooster hosts the Nan Nichols Classic each season, honoring the Scots' long-time coach (1965-86) and a pioneer in women's athletics.
  • Former Scot Alpha Alexander ('76) was named one of NCAAs "100 Most Influential Student Athletes" in 2006.
  • Nara DeJesus ('03) finished her career as the fifth Scot to surpass the 1,000-point mark, despite missing her entire senior season with a knee injury.
  • Kristen Rice ('03) finished her career as Wooster's all-time leading shot blocker with 158.
  • Michelle Hall ('06) was named to the Academic All-District Team in 2004-05. She carried a 3.91 GPA.
  • Carly Loehrke ('07) became just the second player ever to lead the NCAC in both field-goal percentage (.561) and free-throw percentage (.829) in 2005.
  • Carly Loehrke ('07) earned first-team all-conference honors in both her junior and senior seasons.
  • Kym Wenz ('10) earned NCAC Co-Newcomer of the Year honors for the 2006-07 season after 11.8 points and 4.7 rebounds per game.
