 | Freshman Angie Barone was named NCAC Newcomer of the Year after accounting for an amazing 17 of Wooster's 20 wins during the 2001 season, which saw the second-year program reach the championship game of the conference tournament. Barone finished the year with 1.73 earned run average while striking out a league-best 212 batters and giving up just 110 hits in 182.1 innings of work.
