Division-II Gannon Trounces Fighting Scots 95-53

ERIE, Pa. - The College of Wooster men's basketball team lost 95-53 against Division-II Gannon in Erie, Pa., on Tuesday night, marking the Scots' worst defeat since they lost to Denison 84-7 way back in the 1913-14 season.

Leading 8-6 early in the first half, the Golden Knights put the game away with a run of 24 unanswered points, which led to a 44-14 halftime deficit for Wooster.

Gannon had five players reach double figures in scoring, including forward Rich Bush who had a game-high 19 points. Also for the Golden Knights, center Zaid Al-Khas registered a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

The Scots' top scorer was sophomore guard Antwyan Reynolds (Mansfield, Ohio / Mansfield), who scored 12 points on the night. Junior forward Steve Thompson (Orrville, Ohio / Rittman) added 11 points for Wooster.
