Golfers Compete at Palm Beach Atlantic's Tradition Invitational
The College of Wooster golf team competed at the Tradition Invitational in West Palm Beach, Fla., hosted by Palm Beach Atlantic College, during its spring break trip, and came away with several satisfying individual results on March 18-19.
Wooster was competing in a field of nine teams, primarily NCAA Division II and NAIA institutions, but final team scores or individual finishes were not available at the time of this release.
The Scots scored 316-309=625 led individually by junior Jon Pintado, who shot 75-77=152. Not far behind was freshman Joe Punturi, who fired a 79 on the first day and a season-low 74 on the second for a 153 total. Michael Tilden, another freshman, played well with an 80-79=159 card, while rounding out Wooster's contingent were junior Matt Elliott (82-79=161) and Tyler Scott (83-83=168).
The Scots, on their way back north, next play in Muskingum College's Spring Invitational on Friday and Saturday, March 29-30.
