Centre Slips Two Past Wooster in Evenly Played Game
The College of Wooster finished its season-opening weekend on the road with a 1-1 record, falling to Centre College 2-0 on Sunday after previously knocking off Frostburg State University 2-1 Saturday. Ironically, Wooster was outshot 13-3 by Frostburg State, but came away with the win, while Sunday’s match-up was evenly played, with Centre holding a slight 7-6 edge in the shot department, and the Scots ended up losing by two. The Colonels scored both of their goals in the first half on tip-ins in front of the cage. Next, the Fighting Scots get right into North Coast Athletic Conference play this Saturday when they’ll be at Ohio Wesleyan University (1-1), starting at 4:30 p.m. |
